Course Overview

The Superyacht Deckhand Course at Gulf Stream Superyacht Academy is a going to be delivered in realistic maritime environment. You will live, study and sail with 170ft. training vessel. 

Course Duration

The course spans over 3 weeks, with intensive training sessions running Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This schedule includes classroom lectures, practical workshops, and on-the-water training exercises.

Practical Training

Throughout the course, students will engage in hands-on training sessions on our training yachts. This practical experience is designed to reinforce classroom learning and ensure that students are proficient in the real-world application of their skills. Key practical training components include:

• Mooring Exercises: 
• Safety Drills
• Tender Operations: 
• Deck Maintenance
• Water Sports Exercises 

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the following certifications:

• Superyacht Deckhand Certification from Gulf Stream Superyacht Academy.
• STCW 2010 Basic Safety Training Certificate.
  
• Skipper of seagoing vessel up to 40 GT
• Safe work at heights
• Safe mooring operations
