Course Overview: The Packet Course at Gulf Stream Superyacht Academy is an all-encompassing training program designed for maritime professionals seeking to enhance their skills in three critical areas: Medical First Aid, Advanced Firefighting, and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat other than Fast Rescue Boat. This course combines comprehensive theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training to ensure participants are prepared for emergency situations at sea.
Course Duration: This intensive course is conducted over a two weeks period, with classes scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Additional evening and weekend sessions are included for practical exercises and assessments.

- CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants.
- Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

- Handling fractures, burns, and wounds.
- Spinal injury stabilization.

- Recognizing and treating allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

- Use of survival equipment, including life rafts and personal flotation devices (PFDs).

Rescue Boat Operations:
Practical Training: Participants will engage in realistic scenario-based exercises, including live fire drills, medical emergency simulations, and rescue boat operations in various maritime conditions. Training takes place both in the academy’s state-of-the-art facilities and on the water, using fully equipped rescue boats.
Certifications: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certifications in Medical First Aid, Advanced Firefighting, and Proficiency in Rescue Boat, recognized by international maritime authorities and compliant with STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) requirements.
